Jennifer Abubakar Abena – Educator and Fighter
“I want to reduce the level of corruption that our local community as to undergo. The police take bribes, there are gangs and inter-community warfare, it is time we put an end to this. I set up the charity to help the local people to have access to clean drinking water and the little school at the edge of the village will give access for every child to have an education.” These are the words of local charity fundraiser and worker, Jennifer Abubakar Abena.
The twenty-eight-year-olds hard work and charity business has helped to buy facilities which have helped hundreds of individuals. Jennifer runs the charity alongside her father, Magudo. While he takes care of administration and marketing, Jennifer is the hands-on partner who is out there building, organizing and buying. So far, their target of $10,000 has been exceeded. They have now set a new one, of $15,000 and said it should be achievable.
Her determination has caused her to become known as the face of help. Jennifer believes that every child deserves access to basic education, medicine, clean water supplies and the right to live safely.
The local region has been cloaked in corruption for a great many years. Jennifer’s main aim is to stamp out illegal organizations which have grown around gang warfare and subversive dealings. She desiresthat the children of her village grow up in a far more corrupt-free and safe environment.
She has also funded supplies for the small hospital, which suffers from a lack of proper medicines. The doctors work tremendously hard to treat the sickness that occurs when the water is badly contaminated.
